Job Title: Help Desk Specialist

Description:

We are seeking a skilled IT professional to join our team as a Help Desk Specialist. As part of this role, you will play a crucial part in maintaining, managing, and repairing IT systems, ensuring compliance with cybersecurity regulations, and collaborating with third-party technology suppliers.

About the Role:

This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual to take ownership of their work, prioritize tasks effectively, and manage their workload to meet strict deadlines. You will be responsible for installing and configuring computer hardware, software, systems, networks, printers, and scanners, as well as monitoring and maintaining computer systems and networks.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Install and configure computer hardware, software, systems, networks, printers, and scanners.
  • Monitor and maintain computer systems and networks.
  • Ensure compliance with cybersecurity and data protection requirements.
  • Respond to service issues and requests in a timely manner.
  • Provide technical support across the organization (in person and remotely).
  • Set up accounts for new users and manage access controls.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot IT-related issues through data analysis.
  • Repair and replace equipment as necessary.
  • Test and evaluate new technology solutions.
  • Collaborate with third-party technology suppliers and partners.

Requirements:

  • A relevant third-level qualification in Computer Science or Computing.
  • Proficiency in Linux and Windows OS environments.
  • Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, manage workloads, and meet strict deadlines.
  • High attention to detail and a logical approach to troubleshooting.
  • Experience working with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders.
