Job Overview

The Customs Clearance role is responsible for overseeing the management and processing of customs declarations, ensuring precise entries and accurate VAT/excise/duty calculation.

Responsibilities:

  • ">
  • Import and export customs declaration and documentation">
  • Process imports/exports – generating import/export declarations / SADs">
  • Conduct thorough due diligence checks and follow escalation procedures as required">
  • Coordinate all activities associated with processing customs documents">
  • Communicate effectively with customs authorities on a daily basis">
  • Ensure accuracy of entries and VAT/excise/duty calculation">
  • Address queries/refunds promptly and resolve them efficiently">
  • Effectively resolve any queries, issues, and delays and propose continuous improvement solutions to enhance clients' experiences">
  • Participate in the recruitment and selection process and provide valuable feedback">
  • Manage and implement customer authorisations to ensure correct clearance procedures are followed">

  • Experience of customs procedures and requirements is essential">
  • Proficiency in using customs software such as Thyme IT">
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines consistently">
  • Strong communication skills, reliability, and excellent organisational skills, with ability to work under pressure">
  • Quick and accurate data entry skills">
  • Excellent organisational skills with ability to communicate effectively with all stakeholders">
  • Strong Microsoft Word & Excel skills">
