Traffic Operations Specialist

Job Description:

We are seeking a Traffic Operations Specialist to join our team in Galway and the West of Ireland.

The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and removing all site-based traffic management activities.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Ensuring compliance with complex traffic management schemes on both rural and urban roads networks.
  • Attending regular site meetings with clients, local authorities, and other stakeholders.
  • Following complex TM CAD drawings and designs.
  • Surveying and designing traffic management schemes to produce TM plans while considering associated risks and traffic counts.
  • Maintaining excellent timekeeping and attendance records.
Required Skills and Qualifications:

Essential skills and qualifications include:

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Able to multitask and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Prior experience in a traffic management environment.
  • Trained and qualified in temporary traffic management.
  • Full driving license.
  • Flexibility for weekend working.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, quick-turnaround environment.
  • Good knowledge of online systems.
  • Sector scheme 12D qualification preferred but not essential.
