Job Title: Home Care Assistant

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Home Care Assistant to join our team. As a Home Care Assistant, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care and support to individuals in their own homes.

About the Role

This is a rewarding opportunity to make a real difference in people's lives. You will be working independently, visiting clients in their homes, and supporting them with daily living tasks, such as personal care, meal preparation, and light household chores.

You will also be responsible for promoting independence, dignity, and wellbeing, while maintaining a safe and supportive environment for our clients.

Responsibilities
  • Personal care (washing, dressing, toileting)
  • Meal preparation and feeding support
  • Companionship and emotional support
  • Light household tasks (tidying, laundry, etc.)
  • Supporting mobility and transfers
  • Following and recording care plans accurately
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • QQI Level 5 Modules: Care Skills/Healthcare Support or Care of the Older Person
  • 1+ year of care experience and a willingness to complete the two modules (which we provide FREE of charge)
  • Good spoken and written English
  • Driving is an advantage, but non-drivers will be considered
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team
