Job Title: Telecoms Engineer Opportunity

Job Description:

  • Test mobile devices, chipsets and prototypes prior to launch.
  • Conduct field testing, sanity checks, feature testing and functional testing on 2G/3G/4G LTE smartphones in various markets.
  • Acquire, flash and test mobile devices with the latest software versions.
  • Perform UI, integration and regression testing, as well as network testing.
  • Capture logs using QxDM, ELT, Wireshark and other tools.
  • Test network-related protocols with national operators.
  • Analyze debugging issues in LTE and VoLTE technologies.
  • Execute field tests to verify call performance, voice quality, handovers and data functionality.
  • Benchmark end-user products and perform location-based testing.
  • Assess call quality on 2G, 3G and 4G networks.
  • Provide R&D support and maintenance for pre- and post-launch products.
  • Prepare bug reports and summaries, execute test cases and assist in test plan preparation.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Excellent knowledge of mobile testing, drive testing, device testing and field testing.
  • Proficient in Windows and Android mobile operating systems.
  • Knowledge of QXDM, QPST QCAT tool, Mediatek, Spreadtrum or QUALCOMM chipset is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with 2G, 3G, 4G architecture, channels and protocols.
  • Understanding of LTE and LTE-A technologies, including IMS, VoLTE, VoWiFi, CSFB and Carrier Aggregation.
  • Experience with UMTS/WCDMA/GPRS/EDGE technologies.
  • Knowledge of call flow, including 3G, LTE and IMS call flows.
  • Excellent academic record and strong communication skills.
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally.
  • Flexible working hours.
