The role of a food and beverage assistant is crucial in ensuring the smooth operation of all food and beverage services for guests.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide efficient, prompt, and courteous service to restaurant guests.
  • Serve orders promptly and courteously, while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Record guest orders accurately and serve food and beverages as required.
  • Check with guests periodically to ensure their needs are met and make recommendations where necessary.
  • Process guest checks accurately and handle payments efficiently.
  • Handle compliments and complaints professionally, reporting to management as needed.
  • Maintain knowledge of menu items, wine, and beer lists to advise guests and promote sales.
  • Upsell products professionally and courteously, while maintaining a positive attitude.
  • Assist in restaurant and room service operations, ensuring seamless service delivery.
Additional Duties
  • Review hotel activities and update logs to ensure accuracy.
  • Assist the Restaurant Manager as needed, providing support in all job functions.
  • Attend meetings and training sessions to enhance skills and knowledge.
  • Work flexible schedules to ensure guest service is delivered at all times.
  • Maintain professionalism in all job functions, adhering to company standards.

This role requires strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Experience in food and beverage service, preferably in a hotel setting, is essential. A positive attitude and guest-focused approach are also critical to success in this role.
