Job Description

As a dedicated Foreman, you will oversee day-to-day operations on our civil engineering projects in Ireland. Your expertise will be invaluable in ensuring that all work is carried out to the highest quality, meeting deadlines and staying within scope.

  1. Manage and supervise on-site teams, including tradespeople and subcontractors, ensuring work is carried out safely and to specifications.

  2. Coordinate daily activities, liaising with project managers, engineers and planners to keep projects on schedule and within budget.

  3. Monitor work quality and compliance with project requirements, standards and regulations.

  4. Enforce health and safety guidelines, conduct risk assessments and ensure a safe working environment.

  5. Order and allocate materials, tools and equipment as needed and monitor usage.

  6. Identify and address any site issues swiftly to minimise delays or disruptions.

Required Skills & Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you must have:

  1. Proven experience as a Foreperson on civil engineering projects, preferably within Ireland or the UK.
  2. A strong understanding of civil engineering construction methods and materials.
  3. In-depth knowledge of Irish health and safety regulations.
  4. Excellent leadership and communication skills with a collaborative approach to team management.
  5. The ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
  6. A full Irish driver's license.
