Reservations Agent

This luxury resort in County Carlow is currently seeking a professional to fill the role of Reservations Agent.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage the reservation process for individual and group bookings, ensuring timely and efficient service delivery.
  • Assist the Reservations Manager with daily operations and contribute to achieving revenue targets.
  • Monitor and record all email correspondence, tracking key metrics such as dates, prices, market segments, and sources.
  • Process no-show and cancelled reservations according to hotel policy, maintaining accurate records and communicating effectively with guests.
  • Collaborate with the Sales team to identify leads and convert them into confirmed bookings, optimizing room revenue.
  • Liaise with the Reservations Manager to maximize room revenue, providing regular revenue reporting and insights.
  • Provide detailed information about hotel facilities and pricing to guests, demonstrating impeccable billing skills.
  • Promote and up-sell estate facilities and amenities, enhancing the overall guest experience.
  • Manage group blocks, including cut-off dates, deposits, and contracts, ensuring seamless execution.
Requirements:
  • At least two years' experience in a hotel reservations or front office role, with knowledge of Hotsoft an advantage.
  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • A strong multi-tasking ability and flexible, proactive approach to work, with a keen eye for detail.
