Job Title

Social Care Professional Leader

This is a challenging and rewarding role for an experienced social care professional to lead our services in Galway, Ireland.

The successful candidate will have experience of managing the delivery of high-quality care and support to people with intellectual disabilities, particularly those with dual diagnosis. You will work closely with service users, their families, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement policies and procedures that promote person-centered care.

You will also be responsible for leading change in services, ensuring that they meet the presenting needs, wills, and preferences of people who use the service. This will involve working collaboratively with staff, managers, and stakeholders to identify areas for improvement and implementing effective solutions.

To be successful in this role, you will need to demonstrate a depth and breadth of experience working with service users with a range of intellectual disabilities. You should also have knowledge and experience of quality audit/assurance systems and policy development and implementation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the delivery of high-quality care and support to people with intellectual disabilities, including those with dual diagnosis.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures that promote person-centered care.
  • Lead change in services, ensuring that they meet the presenting needs, wills, and preferences of people who use the service.
  • Work collaboratively with staff, managers, and stakeholders to identify areas for improvement and implement effective solutions.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports on service user progress and outcomes.

Requirements:

  • Degree in Social Care or related field.
  • Experience of managing the delivery of care and support to people with intellectual disabilities.
  • Knowledge and experience of quality audit/assurance systems and policy development and implementation.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with staff, managers, and stakeholders to achieve common goals.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
