Schedule Coordinator

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Schedule Coordinator to join our Building Pre-Construction department in Ireland. The successful candidate will develop detailed programs for tenders, collaborate with design, commercial and delivery teams, and ensure project plans are realistic and achievable.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop programs for tender submissions using MS Project & Primavera Software or Asta Powerproject.
  • Break down project scope into logical work sequences, identifying key milestones and critical path.
  • Liaise with design teams, consultants, and internal stakeholders to develop coordinated programs.
  • Identify and communicate potential risks, constraints, and opportunities.
  • Conduct critical path analysis and scenario modeling to support decision making.
  • Ensure planning outputs comply with company standards, client requirements, and industry best practices.
  • Maintain accurate program records in line with QA procedures.
  • Develop program narratives.
  • Engage with subcontractors to develop programs.
Requirements:
  • Relevant Degree or Diploma in Engineering or equivalent.
  • Proven experience in a planning role in the building construction industry (main contractor experience preferred).
  • Strong understanding of construction methodologies, sequencing, and lead times.
  • Experience in developing tender programs.
  • Ability to produce clear and concise planning narratives and reports.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify and manage program risks.
  • Excellent communication skills for interacting with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
