Job Opportunity: Day Centre Nurse

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Day Centre Nurse to join our team in Whistlemount Day Centre. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality nursing care to clients with dementia and related needs.

This is a permanent contract of employment, working 15 hours per week, with no weekend or shift work. Based at Whistlemount Day Centre, you will have the opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of our clients and their families.

The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication, organisation and management skills, as well as the ability to work independently and as part of a team. You must be registered with An Bord Altranais as RN or RMN, and proof of registration will be required prior to commencement.

This role promotes a model of care that is person-centred, community-focused and aware of the needs of the carer. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure that clients receive safe and stimulating care tailored to their individual needs.

To succeed in this role, you will need experience of working with people with dementia, older people or people with intellectual disabilities. Registration with NMBI is essential.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide nursing care in a Day Centre setting for clients with dementia and related needs.
  • Deliver person-centred, safe, and stimulating care tailored to individual requirements.
  • Collaborate with the care team to plan and implement care plans.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with registration requirements.
  • Work effectively on own initiative and as part of a team.
Requirements:
  • Registered with An Bord Altranais as RN or RMN.
  • Experience with dementia, older people, or intellectual disabilities.
  • Registered with NMBI is essential.
