Project Support Professional

Cope Galway seeks a passionate professional to provide support and assistance to individuals and families experiencing homelessness.

The Role

As a project worker, you will be responsible for providing practical assistance and support to clients, including helping them source and secure accommodation, addressing health and care needs, and accessing local services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process referrals and conduct assessments in a professional and sensitive manner.
  • Provide intensive support to clients to access housing, health, welfare, education, and training services.
  • Engage with clients to build trust and respect, and address difficult situations in a sensitive and direct manner.
  • Support clients to address interpersonal issues and promote self-advocacy.
  • Work collaboratively with clients, colleagues, and external agencies to achieve service goals.
  • Maintain accurate records and adhere to confidentiality protocols.
  • Contribute to ongoing service development and participate in training and workshops to enhance skills and knowledge.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of two years experience working with vulnerable communities.
  • Recognised third-level qualification in social care or related field, or CORU registered social care worker.
  • Commitment to Cope Galway's Vision, Mission, and Values.
  • Understanding of homelessness and complex client needs.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills.
  • Full clean driving license and access to own vehicle (for some assignments).
