Career Development Specialist

The purpose of this role is to support individuals in their career development, helping them overcome barriers and build confidence.
Key responsibilities include assessing clients' needs, providing guidance and support, and creating personalized progression plans. This involves working closely with clients to identify their strengths and areas for improvement, and developing strategies to help them achieve their goals.
The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with people from diverse backgrounds. They will also possess a strong understanding of employment services and the challenges faced by job seekers.
A minimum of one year's experience in a recruitment, sales or customer-facing role is required, as well as a Leaving Certificate standard (or equivalent). A third-level degree is desirable but not essential.
Responsibilities may include delivering training workshops, exploring learning and work opportunities, and acting as an intermediary with local employers. The successful candidate will be fully IT literate and able to manage workload effectively, with a positive approach to problem-solving and a 'can do' attitude.
