Senior Microbiologist Job Description

The role of Senior Microbiologist plays a pivotal part in ensuring that products meet the highest regulatory and quality standards. This involves coordinating a team of operators and technicians within the Quality Control Laboratory, ensuring compliance with microbiology standards and cleanroom requirements.

  • This includes overseeing microbiology activities and investigations related to product sterilization.
  • Maintaining all work in compliance with regulatory standards, company policies, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Leading, developing, and managing a team of quality operators and technicians in the Quality Control Lab.
  • Ensuring compliance with ETO sterilization, microbiology, and Good Laboratory Practice (GLP).
  • Implementing and maintaining Cleanroom standards, ensuring compliance at all times.
  • Conducting root cause investigations for product failures.
  • Providing support for sterilization-related inquiries.
  • Maintaining laboratory safety and equipment readiness for internal, customer, or regulatory inspections.
  • Managing dose establishment, dose audits, and report preparation for the department.
  • Reviewing product lots and approving them for release, ensuring compliance with quality standards.
  • Collaborating with technical specialist groups and integrating their insights into quality processes.
