We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Host to join our team at The Convention Centre Dublin (The CCD). As a key member of our event operations, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to delegates and ensuring that every event runs smoothly.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about delivering premium levels of customer service and has a strong ability to communicate effectively with clients, delegates, and colleagues. You will work closely with our Event Managers to ensure that all events run smoothly and efficiently.

As a Host, you will be the first point of contact for delegates and will be responsible for welcoming them to The CCD, helping them familiarise themselves with the building and its surroundings, guiding them through their event, and ensuring they get the most from their time with us.

Key Responsibilities
  • Welcome and orientate delegates on foyers
  • Assist with crowd control throughout events
  • Badge or ticket checking
  • Seating in Auditorium
  • Counting delegates when close to capacities in certain spaces
  • Encourage people movement at breakout times and lunches
  • Comply with Health & Safety guidelines and advise delegates and exhibitors of same
  • Help evacuate the building in the event of an emergency evacuation
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have excellent communication skills, a strong understanding of the needs of our clients and delegates, and a passion for delivering premium levels of customer service. Previous experience in the customer service, hospitality, or events industry would be an advantage.

You will also need to be able to work as part of a team, rotating duties and schedules, and be available to work a variety of shifts including evenings and weekends.
