As a helpline operator, you will have the opportunity to make a positive impact on people's lives by providing timely and effective support.
About the Role- This is a permanent position that requires a minimum of 24 hours per week commitment. The role involves working day shifts, with various schedules available such as Sunday to Thursday or Tuesday to Saturday. Shifts typically operate between 8am and 12pm.
- You may occasionally be required to work night shifts, but this is rare. Night shifts usually take place from 10pm to 4am or 12am to 8am.
- The shift rosters are communicated at least two weeks in advance, allowing you to plan your schedule accordingly.
- New recruits will undergo an initial training period lasting around five to six weeks. Training is full-time and takes place at our office. During this time, you will receive EUR 13.50 per hour.
- You will engage with service users over the phone to address a range of inquiries. This may involve reassuring customers about their carers, testing pendants, or contacting emergency services when necessary.
- You will assess each call to determine the most suitable follow-up procedure, ensuring it provides the best solution for the customer.
- You will accurately pass information to emergency services or personal contacts where required, using clear and concise communication.
- Maintaining the Response Centre database with high accuracy and confidentiality is essential. You must adhere to the company's safeguarding and GDPR policy at all times.
- You will respond to calls efficiently and effectively.
- Clients require reassurance, comfort, and assistance over the phone. You must provide these services in a calm and friendly manner.
- You will handle housing repair calls, connecting customers with relevant contractors as needed.
- You will also conduct outbound calls to vulnerable clients, offering them comfort and reassurance.
