Speech and Language Therapist

At the heart of our Children's Disability Network Team is a Speech and Language Therapist. This role offers a unique opportunity to work with a multidisciplinary team delivering high-quality care to children and young people (0–18 years) with complex needs arising from disability.

About the Role:

As a Speech and Language Therapist, you'll be responsible for assessing and delivering speech, language, and communication interventions tailored to the needs of each child and their family. You will collaborate with parents, educators, and other professionals to help children achieve meaningful goals in everyday communication and participation.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Providing assessment and intervention for a range of communication and feeding difficulties
  • Working as part of an interdisciplinary team using a family-centred practice model
  • Supporting care planning, goal setting, and progress monitoring
  • Engaging in team meetings, supervision, and service development activities

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • CORU registration as a Speech and Language Therapist
  • A strong interest and/or experience in paediatric disability services
  • Excellent communication, clinical reasoning, and teamwork skills
