As a senior accounts receivable specialist, you will play a key role in driving timely and accurate financial processes. This hands-on position requires your expertise to contribute to the finance team, focusing on our distribution business.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Establish new customer accounts for efficient cash flow management
  • Conduct thorough credit checks to ensure risk-free transactions
  • Accurately post and allocate payments to maintain up-to-date records
  • Manage cash sales with precision and control
  • Collaborate with credit insurers on legal matters and communicate options to management
  • Issue credit notes for cash sales/discount rebates
  • Generate end-of-month statements to provide clear financial insights
  • Upload invoices and credit notes seamlessly
  • Treat debit notes to prevent financial discrepancies
  • Handle major debtor remittance and treatment with urgency
  • Issue major consolidated debtor statements
  • Update aged debtors reports as requested
  • Assist with invoice financing, uploads, and drawdowns to optimize cash flow
  • Analyze expenses to identify areas of improvement
  • Support other duties and ad-hoc projects assigned by the Group Financial Controller
Requirements:
  • At least 3 years' experience in an accounts receivable role
  • Results-driven and proactive attitude with a focus on efficiency
  • Able to handle large volumes of transactions and meet tight deadlines
  • Thrives in a busy, challenging environment with adaptability
  • Able to find solutions while balancing stakeholder needs
  • Open to challenging the status quo with a growth mindset
  • Strong attention to detail and analytical skills with proficiency in Excel
  • Proven experience working with credit insurers on legal matters
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently
  • Possess a valid driver's licence
