Job Opportunity: Diagnostic Radiographer

This is an exciting chance to join a dynamic Radiology team in a busy hospital setting.

The role offers the opportunity to work in a supportive environment that prioritizes patient care and staff development.

The Diagnostic Imaging Department provides a comprehensive service to both inpatients and outpatients, including General and Emergency Radiography, CT, Fluoroscopy, and Ultrasound services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Participate daily in the general radiography service in assigned areas.
  • Engage in ongoing training and professional development.
  • Maintain high standards in patient care and radiographic techniques.
  • Ensure compliance with statutory directives and keep clinical and technical knowledge up to date.
  • Develop and maintain a clean and safe working environment.
  • Report any equipment faults and maintain a high level of knowledge in key areas.
  • Efficiently use the Radiology Information System (RIS) and other relevant systems.
  • Develop IT skills to analyze and present data for departmental meetings.

Requirements:

  • CORU registration as a Radiographer.
  • Qualification in Radiography.
  • Knowledge of RIS system and experience with on-call services.
  • Flexibility to work in the General Department and adapt to changes in healthcare environments.
  • Strong awareness of Radiation Safety and Health & Safety regulations.
  • Current knowledge of Diagnostic Radiography theory and practice.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Enthusiastic attitude and adaptability in a dynamic healthcare setting.
  • Strong self-management and teamwork abilities.
  • Proactive learner and evidence of Continuing Professional Development (CPD).
