Job Title: Senior Oracle Database Administrator
About the RoleWe are seeking a highly skilled professional to fill the position of Senior Oracle Database Administrator. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in the administration, maintenance, and enhancement of existing Oracle-based systems.
Main Responsibilities:- Perform daily database administration tasks, monitor performance, and implement optimization strategies for Oracle 12c environments.
- Manage and support Oracle Forms and Reports and WebLogic Server deployments, including troubleshooting and resolution of technical issues.
- Provide support and maintenance for Hyperion SQR reporting infrastructure.
- Implement robust backup and recovery procedures using RMAN, Data Guard, and Data Pump utilities.
- Contribute to the enhancement and optimization of current systems to ensure high performance, reliability, and scalability.
- Perform AIX system administration tasks related to the Oracle environment, including patching and resource management.
- Develop and execute business continuity and disaster recovery plans, ensuring minimal disruption to operations.
- Prepare and deliver documentation and knowledge transfer to internal IT staff as required.
- Minimum 7 years of experience in similar roles with a strong background in Oracle database administration.
- Proven expertise in upgrading and installing Oracle software, with specific knowledge of upgrading from Oracle 12c to Oracle 19c.
- Familiarity with RMAN backup, disaster recovery, and AIX administration.
- Excellent troubleshooting and performance tuning skills.
- Oracle Certified Professional in Database Administration or higher.
- English language proficiency: Fluency in English required; C2 certification necessary if not a native speaker.
- Visa: Irish/EU Citizen or Stamp 4 Visa holder.
