Job Title: Heavy Vehicle Technician

We are seeking a skilled technician to join our team in Cork, Ireland.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform thorough inspections and diagnostics on heavy vehicles to identify faults and required repairs.
  • Conduct complex fault-finding across mechanical and electrical systems, applying effective problem-solving skills.
  • Work efficiently to minimize vehicle downtime, ensuring minimal disruption to operations.
  • Maintain accurate records of all work carried out, reporting recurring faults and potential issues.
  • Collaborate with supervisors and engineers to resolve technical challenges and improve vehicle performance.
  • Provide guidance and support to junior colleagues, fostering knowledge transfer and professional growth.
  • Ensure strict adherence to health and safety protocols and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement.

Requirements:

  • QQI Level 6 Advanced Certificate in Heavy Vehicle Mechanics or equivalent qualification.
  • At least 3 years of hands-on experience in a similar role.
  • Strong technical expertise with proven diagnostic and mechanical ability.
  • Ability to work independently and manage deadlines within a busy environment.
  • Desirable: Full Category D (Bus) Licence.
  • Desirable: Experience mentoring apprentices or junior colleagues.
