About the Job

This role involves working with a team to enhance our clients' cybersecurity posture through the design, implementation, and refinement of Microsoft Sentinel content.

You will gain hands-on experience in developing and troubleshooting detection rules, contributing to process improvements, and assisting in resolving technical issues under the guidance of experienced engineers.

This position offers a unique opportunity to learn about Microsoft Sentinel analytics and develop skills in Kusto Query Language (KQL).

Key Responsibilities:
  • Create basic detection rules, alerts, and dashboards under guidance.
  • Document use cases, rule logic, and expected outcomes for new detections.
  • Research common attack techniques and draft potential detection ideas.
  • Review existing alerts to identify false positives and assist in rule tuning.
  • Work with senior engineers to adjust signatures or conditions to reduce noise.
  • Validate whether tuned rules still detect intended malicious activity.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, IT Security, Computer Science, or equivalent experience.
  • Basic familiarity with Kusto Query Language (KQL) preferred.
