Customer Experience Innovation Leader

About the Role

As a key member of our team, you'll play a critical role in scaling our systems, ensuring high performance, and driving technical excellence.

  • Collaborate with domain experts to shape our technical direction and infrastructure as we grow.
  • Owning aspects of our infrastructure, including writing application code, automating systems, improving observability, and low-level tuning of datastores used in production.
  • Value agility and simplicity while prioritizing scalability and uptime.
  • Contribute to all phases of software development, from ideation to implementation, and drive incremental improvements with feature flags.
  • Play an active role in hiring, mentoring, and career development of other engineers.
  • Raise the bar for technical standards, performance, reliability, and operational excellence across our organization.

Key Qualifications:

  • Excellent pragmatic engineering and decision-making skills in a high-stakes environment.
  • 8+ years experience in a production environment, with significant contributions to designing, architecting, and optimizing distributed systems.
  • Expertise in backend technologies like MySQL, Elasticsearch, Memcached, Linux, and demonstrated capability to innovate and optimize at the system level.
  • Experience scaling a SaaS product and creating something people around the world use.
  • Significant impact on products or teams through your work.
  • Proficient in standard software engineering methodologies, including unit testing, object-oriented design, data structures, code reviews, and utilizing observability tooling.
