About the Role:

As a Trainee Accountant, you will assist in the preparation of monthly management accounts and maintain the general ledger. This role is ideal for those studying towards a professional accounting qualification.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Assist with the preparation of monthly management accounts.
  • Maintain and reconcile the general ledger and supporting financial records.
  • Support month end accounts receivable process including the generation and issuance of sales invoices.
  • Conduct daily reconciliations and resolve discrepancies promptly.
  • Process and monitor corporate expense claims in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Help monitor cash flow and prepare daily or weekly cash reports as required.
  • Support the month-end and year-end close processes (journals, accruals, prepayments, etc.).
  • Collaborate with the finance and operations team to support financial data accuracy.
  • Support external audits and respond to queries as required.

Key Skills and Qualifications:

  • Degree in Accounting, Finance or Economics.
  • Actively studying or planning to study towards a professional accounting qualification (ACCA, CIMA or similar).
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Good working knowledge of Excel.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
