Job Title:

EHS Professional

This is a 12-month contract role with Johnson & Johnson, requiring an Environmental Health and Safety Specialist to support EHS activities within the organization.

About the Role:
  • The ideal candidate will have a strong background in EHS, with experience in implementing and maintaining environmental health and safety programs to ensure compliance with regulatory, corporate, and industry requirements.
  • They will provide expert advice and guidance to site teams on EHS matters, including emergency response planning, contractor management, and permit-to-work processes.
  • Additionally, they will be responsible for managing metrics reports, creating presentations for EHS management reviews, and providing training on chemical awareness, manual handling, and other safety topics.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Design, implement, maintain, and review EHS programs to ensure compliance with regulations and standards.
  • Advise site teams on EHS matters, including emergency response planning, contractor management, and permit-to-work processes.
  • Manage metrics reports, create presentations for EHS management reviews, and provide training on EHS topics.
  • Perform biannual walkdowns/audits/program reviews to ensure compliance with J&J Office and Fleet Standard and regulatory requirements.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • A relevant third-level qualification in Science, Engineering, or EHS, with at least three years' experience in the environment, health, and safety area, ideally in the MedTech or Pharma industry.
  • Good overall knowledge of legal requirements and best practices in Environment, Health, and Safety.
  • Excellent communication and computer skills, with the ability to create dashboards, work in Excel, and PowerPoint, and track and trend KPI's.
