Key Responsibilities
  • Implement and drive Sales Strategies to support business growth.
  • Maintain existing business while identifying new opportunities, customers, products, and categories.
  • Manage the Sales team by setting Annual Budgets while supporting and motivating them (through training, mentoring, and leadership) to achieve their individual Sales budgets and performance objectives.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews and assessments.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, understand their needs and provide solutions that meet/exceed their expectations.
  • Negotiate Sales Agreements and generate effective written proposals and tender documents.
  • Prepare and deliver compelling presentations, proposals, and product demonstrations.
  • Track, analyse and report on the Sales Pipeline versus Budget.
  • Develop, monitor, and present Forecasts for production scheduling and budgeting.
  • Lead Sales meetings and attend management meetings.
  • Manage customer and market data via CRM and other Sales tools.
  • Collaborate with internal departments to ensure seamless delivery of Products and Services.
  • Assist the Marketing team to develop marketing strategies/plans, drive effective campaigns/promotions that generate Leads and increase market share.
  • Assess your team's training needs and create career development opportunities for all.
  • Lead continuous Sales Process improvements and optimisations.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, Science or similar is desirable.
  • Minimum 5 years of Sales Management experience.
  • Proven personal record of Sales success.
  • Successful track record of People Management.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders including customers and colleagues.
  • A knowledge of Agricultural markets is an advantage.
  • Strong understanding of technical Products/Services with ability to articulate complex concepts.
  • Well-developed IT skills (MS Platforms, CRM, ERP).
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Advanced negotiation and interpersonal skills.
  • Highly organised and detail-oriented.
  • Time management and task prioritisation skills.
  • Commercial Marketing and Merchandising experience.
