About the Role

In this key position, you will play a vital role in delivering independent advocacy to people navigating complex mental health systems. You will provide person-centred support in both community and clinical settings.

Your responsibilities include:

  • Coordinating local referrals and stakeholder engagement
  • Delivering 1:1 and group advocacy in inpatient and community-based settings
  • Supporting junior staff and volunteers within the advocacy team
  • Recording and reporting data using our case management systems
  • Promoting continuity of advocacy across transitions in care
  • Embedding innovation and inclusivity into everyday practice

You will work closely with our dynamic mental health services team to promote rights-based, trauma-informed support and make a lasting difference to the lives of individuals accessing our services.

To succeed in this role, you will require:

  • A recognised professional qualification in Social Work, Nursing or Occupational Therapy (registered with relevant body)
  • At least 2 years' experience in health or social care
  • Working knowledge of relevant legislation
  • Ability to independently manage a complex caseload
  • Proven experience of effective advocacy practice
  • Excellent communication, reporting and liaison skills
