Lead Therapist in Child Disability Services

This is a unique opportunity to join a well-established Children's Disability Network Team in northwest Dublin as a Senior Speech and Language Therapist. The successful candidate will work alongside an experienced multidisciplinary team, providing high-quality evidence-based services to children with primary intellectual disabilities, secondary physical disabilities, and/or sensory impairments.
The ideal candidate will have a degree in clinical speech and language therapy, full CORU registration, and a minimum of 3 years' experience working with children with a range of disabilities including physical, sensory, intellectual, and autistic spectrum disorder. They will also be eligible to work in the Republic of Ireland, hold a full clean driving license, and use of a car.
About the Role:
As a Senior Speech and Language Therapist, you will provide a quality evidence-based service to children with complex needs, prioritizing their care in consultation with their families, carers, and staff. You will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized Speech and Language Therapy programs, taking into account person-centered needs, staff/carers' needs, environment, and available resources.
The role involves managing a complex caseload, exercising advanced clinical reasoning, making autonomous decisions, and judgments on a daily basis. You will contribute to program development, participate in multi-disciplinary teams, communicate with other disciplines, and keep up-to-date with current trends, developments, and best practices in the area of Intellectual Disability, Psycho-social, and Speech and Language Therapy.
Key Responsibilities:
To provide high-quality evidence-based Speech and Language Therapy services to children with complex needs, prioritizing their care in consultation with their families, carers, and staff.
To assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized Speech and Language Therapy programs, taking into account person-centered needs, staff/carers' needs, environment, and available resources.
To manage a complex caseload, exercising advanced clinical reasoning, making autonomous decisions, and judgments on a daily basis.
To contribute to program development, participate in multi-disciplinary teams, communicate with other disciplines, and keep up-to-date with current trends, developments, and best practices in the area of Intellectual Disability, Psycho-social, and Speech and Language Therapy.
