Project Director

We are seeking an experienced Project Director to lead the delivery of complex projects.


About the Role

The successful candidate will have a strong track record of managing geographically dispersed project teams and delivering projects on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.


Key Responsibilities
  • Developing project plans to track milestones and manage changes to the plan.
  • Working with the customer team and leadership team to create accurate Roadmaps and Business cases.
  • Effectively managing projects and delivering to agreed plans and budget, in accordance with Business cases.
  • Proactively managing change and scope creep with customers and stakeholders.
  • Reporting on weekly/monthly progress against targets.
  • Interacting and building consensus with customers and stakeholders.
  • Presenting status of the project to customers and internal stakeholders.
  • Actively managing Risks & Issues, taking appropriate corrective action as required.

Requirements
  • 4+ years experience leading complex software development deliveries.
  • Advanced user of MS Project.
  • Ability to operate within a multi-locational delivery team environment with both onsite and remote engagement.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, including representing the company in a client-facing role.
  • Understanding of branching strategy, semantic versioning, sprint planning, dependency management, different test activities, and release tracking.
  • Problem solver and decision maker.
  • Strategic thinker with a customer-centric ethos while ensuring company objectives are met.

Desirable Skills
  • Experience working with demanding customers.
  • Experience working on-site with a customer.
  • Prior working experience with airlines would be an advantage.
