Job Description

The Strategic Wind Energy Policy Professional will play a pivotal role in shaping and advancing policies that support the growth and development of the wind energy sector. This includes focusing on planning and consenting systems for both onshore and offshore wind.


Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and lead policy initiatives to promote wind energy and other enabling technologies at national and European levels, representing key stakeholders in interactions with government agencies, policymakers, and industry leaders.
  • Monitor policy developments relating to consenting renewable energy and grid infrastructure, identifying key opportunities, risks, and issues affecting the wind energy industry for reporting to senior leadership teams.
  • Nurture effective relationships with senior stakeholders in relevant government departments and state bodies to drive policy outcomes.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and industry partners through the coordination of committee meetings, working groups, and policy forums.

Required Skills and Qualifications

This role requires strong analytical, communication, and project management skills. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of wind energy policy and regulatory frameworks, as well as experience working with government agencies and industry stakeholders.
