Steel Trading Specialist Role Overview

This position presents an exciting opportunity to work with a leading global steel trading company. The ideal candidate will possess excellent organizational and multitasking abilities, strong communication and relationship-building skills, and confidence in managing detailed documentation and processes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Qualify inbound leads and conduct initial assessment calls
  • Pass qualified leads to the Sales Director for closure
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in the CRM system
  • Cultivate existing accounts through upsell and renewal opportunities
  • Coordinate logistics operations to ensure seamless booking and delivery processes
  • Update freight rates for key delivery locations
  • Manage container bookings and schedules
  • Act as a liaison between suppliers, hauliers, and logistics teams
  • Collaborate with on-site inspectors to ensure quality standards and accurate weights
  • Process and manage essential documents such as inspection certificates and shipping paperwork
  • Maintain organized records of loading photos and related documentation

  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to manage complex documentation and processes
  • Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, or related field (desired)
