Job Opportunity

This position supports the establishment of our Environmental, Health, and Safety function at a state-of-the-art manufacturing facility.

We are seeking an experienced EHSS professional to enable a high-performance environment with a positive EHSS culture. This individual will provide technical expertise to ensure compliance and a safe workplace for all employees, visitors, and contractors.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Compliance Management: Foster a safety culture by promoting regulatory adherence and implementing safety management systems.
  • Risk Assessment: Identify hazardous conditions and practices in the workplace. Conduct on-site inspections to evaluate physical conditions and safe work practices.
  • Training Programs: Assist in developing controlled documents and training programs to drive a zero-accident culture.
  • Maintenance Coordination: Collaborate with facilities maintenance on risk assessments for activities like lone working, confined space entry, work at height, and hot works.
  • Sustainability Support: Contribute to the site sustainability program in collaboration with facilities & global sustainability teams to drive a zero-waste initiative.
  • Emergency Planning: Implement site emergency response plans and collaborate with the ERT team.
  • Warehouse Safety: Work with the Warehouse team on implementing warehouse safety programs related to powered equipment, chemical management, storage, and material handling.
  • Incident Review: Review, investigate, and implement action plans for work-related injuries, illnesses, accidents, and safety concerns.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field.
  • Minimum 8-12 years relevant experience.
  • Familiarity with health, safety, and regulatory requirements.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving skills and knowledge of technology related to EHSS disciplines.
  • Proven success in administering EHSS programs.
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in the medical device industry.
  • Able to work effectively under pressure.
  • Accredited certification preferred (Certified Professional Ergonomist, Certified Safety Professional, Certified Industrial Hygienist).
