
Strategic Account Manager

As a seasoned strategic account manager, you will be responsible for fostering long-term partnerships with key pharmaceutical and biotech customers across the EMEA region. Your primary focus will be on driving commercial success while ensuring customer satisfaction.
Developing tailored account plans, identifying growth opportunities, and positioning industrial microbiology solutions as the preferred choice are integral to your role. You will collaborate closely with teams such as Technical Support and Supply Chain to enhance customer experience.
To achieve this, you will need to understand client needs, aligning the value proposition accordingly. This involves proactive networking, self-starting, and a hands-on approach. A passion for sales and science, combined with strong business acumen, is essential for growing in the EMEA pharmaceutical market.
Main Responsibilities:- Drive profit growth and category share with a focus on targeted pharmaceutical companies in the EMEA region.
- Develop and implement sales action plans for new and current industrial customers in assigned territories.
- Achieve annually agreed sales objectives and growth within the region.
- Take ownership and accountability for all activity within the assigned territory, planning and organizing time and resources to meet goals and objectives.
Close collaboration with internal functions, including Tech support, Regulatory/Quality, Production, Supply Chain, and Customer Care, is crucial to delivering high-quality service in the territory. Additionally, embedded use of CRM (SFDC) & BD Way of Selling is required for managing day-to-day activities, pricing management, quotations, contracts, quality agreements, and pricing renewals.
Key Skills and QualificationsThe ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients and internal stakeholders. A proven track record in sales, along with expertise in industrial microbiology, is also essential.
Strong business acumen, including financial analysis and budgeting, will enable the successful candidate to drive commercial success and make informed decisions. Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office applications is also necessary.
