Care Services Manager

Description

This position is responsible for leading a team that supports individuals to live their lives independently. As a Care Services Manager, you will be the key figure in developing an approach to service provision that prioritizes coaching, mentoring, and supervising staff.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive training program for staff members, focusing on delivering exceptional care services.
  • Provide ongoing support and feedback to staff, ensuring they work in a valued and respectful manner.
  • Present ideas and information relevant to service provision, incorporating autism-informed approaches.
  • Utilize creative problem-solving skills to address challenges and develop innovative solutions.
Requirements:
  • Possess knowledge of HIQA requirements and ensure compliance in all aspects of service delivery.
  • Demonstrate proven experience working with individuals on the autistic spectrum, highlighting your ability to adapt and innovate.
  • Exhibit excellent communication skills, enabling effective collaboration with people supported, staff, families, and community leaders.
  • Hold a minimum level 7 degree qualification in Social Care or equivalent, eligible for CORU registration.
  • Showcase at least 3 years of managerial or supervisory experience in the social care sector, demonstrating leadership capabilities.
Additional Responsibilities:
  • Contribute to local service planning, staying up-to-date with changing needs and developments.
  • Ensure a safe working environment by adhering to Western Care Association's Dignity at Work Policy and Health & Safety regulations.
  • Apply positive approaches when supporting individuals with challenging behavior, aligning with organizational practices.
