Medical Office Administrator

Are you passionate about delivering exceptional customer service and supporting healthcare professionals? Do you have excellent communication and organisational skills? We are looking for a Medical Secretary to join our team at Mid West Physiotherapy in Limerick.
This is a full-time opportunity to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, where no two days are the same. As a Medical Secretary, you will be the first point of contact for patients, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere that sets the tone for their visit.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Welcoming patients to the clinic and managing their appointments
- Maintaining accurate patient records and processing appointment payments
- FOLLOWING UP ON MISSED APPOINTMENTS AND COMMUNICATING EFFECTIVELY WITH PATIENTS AND CLINICIANS
- MANAGING INSURANCE COMPANY AND CORPORATE REFERRALS, AND ASSISTING WITH THIRD-PARTY BILLING
- HANDLING ADMINISTRATIVE TASKS SUCH AS DATA INPUTTING, SCANNING, FILING, AND POSTAGE
- GENERATING AND TRACKING REGULAR REPORTS FOR CLINICIAN COMPLETION
- OPTIMISING CLINIC EFFICIENCY AND PROCESSES, AND ENSURING COMPLIANCE WITH GDPR CONFIDENTIALITY REQUIREMENTS

Essential skills and qualifications for this role include:
- 1+ years' experience in a similar role (e.g., medical secretary / front of house / receptionist administrator)
- Able to demonstrate competencies corresponding to the job description
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word
- Fluent spoken and written English, and knowledge of AI systems for healthcare/administration is highly desirable
