UK & Ireland Senior Payroll Specialist (12-Month Contract) - Galway - Hybrid

My client, a Galway based technology company,is currently seeking a UK&I Payroll Specialist to join our dynamic HR & Legal team on a 12-month contract. As part of our ongoing development and expansion, this role will play a crucial part in ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing for our UK&I entities. Reporting directly to the Finance Director, the successful candidate will collaborate closely with the existing finance team. Role Overview:

Position: UK&I Payroll Specialist (12-Month Contract)Reporting To: Finance Director

Responsibilities:

Process end-to-end payroll for UK&I employees, ensuring compliance with local regulations and company policies.Collaborate with HR and other departments to maintain accurate employee data and resolve any payroll-related queries.Handle payroll adjustments, including bonuses, commissions, and other compensation elements.Prepare and submit payroll reports, tax filings, and statutory payments.Assist in implementing process improvements and automation within the payroll function.Stay up-to-date with changes in payroll legislation and ensure adherence to legal requirements.Provide exceptional customer service to employees regarding payroll inquiries.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in finance, Accounting, or related field.Minimum of 2 years of experience in payroll processing, preferably within an international context.IPASS qualifications an advantage but not essential Proficiency in payroll software and Microsoft Excel.Strong understanding of UK&I payroll regulations and tax laws.Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Fluency in English.
