Our Policy and Regulation Team is responsible for representing and promoting the interests of Energia Group with policy makers, regulators, government bodies, system operators and trade associations, across its Renewables, Flexible Generation and Customer Solutions businesses.
This exciting new opportunity will offer the successful candidate a chance to start, or further develop, their career in the energy industry, build their knowledge of energy markets, regulation and policy and advocate for the changes and improvements that will help shape the energy markets of the future.
The ideal candidate is someone who is commercially focused, well-organised, proactive, curious, is a self-starter with a high attention to detail, and is an excellent communicator.
About you At least 3 years previous experience of working ideally in a policy, economics, legal or advocacy role, holding a third level degree, achieving a minimum of a 2.1 result and / or masters in a discipline that requires demonstrable skills in constructing cogent logical arguments.
Excellent IT Skills with sound knowledge of MS packages, particularly Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Teams.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills; including high attention to detail, an ability to convey arguments that persuade and influence others, and evidence of an ability for analytical excellence.
An ability to work independently and as part of a multi-disciplined team, with a record for proactively searching out ways to add value.
Excellent time management and organisational skills with the ability to cope with a changeable workload, prioritising the most important tasks to meet external deadlines.
