Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Principal Thermal Coating Engineer to join our team to support one of the largest Medical Devices Manufacturer.
The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the development and implementation of thermal coating technologies for medical devices.
Key Responsibilities: Technical Leadership
1. Provide technical guidance and oversight to cross-functional teams, including engineering, manufacturing, and quality.
2. Develop technical strategies and plans to achieve business objectives.
3. Lead technical discussions with customers, vendors, and internal stakeholders.
Thermal Coating Technology Development
1. Develop and implement thermal coating technologies for medical devices, including coating materials, processes, and equipment.
2. Conduct experiments and testing to evaluate thermal coating performance and optimize coating processes.
3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate thermal coating technologies into medical device designs.
Project Management
1. Manage project timelines, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget.
2. Manage project budgets, ensuring costs are controlled and minimized.
3. Coordinate with vendors and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and services.
Quality and Regulatory Compliance
1. Ensure thermal coating technologies meet quality standards, including ISO, FDA, and CE markings.
2. Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, including FDA, CE, and ISO regulations.
3. Develop and implement quality and regulatory procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
Skill Set & Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in materials science, mechanical engineering, or a related field.
Master's degree in engineering or a related field preferred.
Minimum 10 years of experience in thermal coating technology development, preferably in the medical industry.
Experience with thermal coating processes, including plasma spraying, sputtering, and evaporation.
Strong technical skills, including experience with thermal coating materials, processes, and equipment.
Strong leadership skills, including experience with team management and leadership.
Excellent communication skills, including experience with technical writing and presentation.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including experience with experimental design and data analysis.
Certified Materials Scientist certification preferred.
Certified Quality Engineer certification preferred.
