Safeguarding Lead / Senior Social Worker Highfield Healthcare is seeking a Safeguarding Lead / Senior Social Worker to join our multidisciplinary team.
This is a dual clinical and safeguarding leadership role.
The position is based across our Whitehall and Lucan campuses.
The post holder will provide a social work service to day hospital and community-based patients in conjunction with providing leadership and governance to the Safeguarding of Vulnerable Adults service.
The post holder will report to the Social Work Manager / Team Leader.
What Youll Do: Provide a professional social work service to day hospital and community-based patients including groupwork, therapeutic interventions, risk assessment and discharge planning.
Lead safeguarding initiatives and ensure compliance with national legislation, policies, and best practice guidelines.
Provide expert advice, training, and guidance to staff on safeguarding vulnerable adults at risk of abuse.
Undertake and oversee safeguarding matters, ensuring timely and thorough case management.
Support and mentor the team of Designated Officers and other staff in complex casework.
Essential Requirements Must be registered with CORU.
Demonstrate sufficient clinical and professional knowledge to carry out the duties and responsibilities of the role.
Hold a National Qualification in Social Work (N.Q.S.W.) or Certificate of Qualification in Social Work awarded by the Central Council for Education and Training in Social Work, U.K. or an equivalent qualification recognized for appointment to the post of Senior Social Worker in Ireland.
Have at least 3 years experience of working in mental health Advanced clinical expertise in Safeguarding of Vulnerable Persons at Risk of Abuse.
Advanced clinical knowledge of the Fair Deal scheme, the Assisted Decision Making (Capacity) Act 2015 and the Safeguarding Vulnerable Adults at Risk of abuse National Policy.
