Operational Resilience & Business Continuity Manager
Dublin
An innovative trading firm with an amazing culture & over 25% YOY growth have created a new role in their Dublin office for an Operational Resilience and Business Continuity Manager. Sitting in the 1st line, you'd be responsible for developing and implementing business and operational resilience programs in line with Group & Regulatory requirements. You'd work very closely with other business units locally & across the group to ensure a smooth & efficient roll-out of the aforementioned programs.
It's quite a fast-paced, ambitious & entrepreneurial company with loads of change, growth & creative ideas, so you'd be working with your colleagues to creatively solve problems. You'll get a lot of autonomy in your role & have the opportunity to put your own stamp on things.
Responsibilities:
- Take the lead for the continued implementation of the Firm's Operational Resilience Roadmap.
- Manage the business continuity program and crisis management activities and liaise with the Parent company to ensure alignment and consistency in approaches.
- Serve as a continuity and resilience specialist, promoting risk culture around resilience, continuity and crisis management (including third-party risk management and information technology).
- Participate actively in the implementation of the European regulation on Digital Operational Resilience (DORA) project.
- Engage with and support departments in the ongoing determination and capture of critical business processes; critical business service / function.
- Conduct Business Impact Analysis (BIA), to determine what resources are necessary to continue business functionality, their recovery time and recovery point objectives.
- Manage the development and enhancement of the tools and methodologies, and standard operating procedures to support the Operational Resilience and Business Continuity programs.
- Oversee general intervention activities, interruptions, and proactive testing strategies.
- Create and manage the delivery of training to all relevant employees and stakeholders involved within each critical business service / function to ensure preparedness in crisis.
- Take the lead in supporting and facilitating the response and recovery of in-scope businesses during significant business disruptions.
- Create key reporting metrics on resilience status and insights to senior management, the Board, and regulatory bodies regularly, and escalate concerns as needed.
About you:
- Experience working in a Operational Resilience/Business Continuity Management / Crisis & Incident Management Role.
- Business continuity certification, beneficial.
- Deep Knowledge and of DORA with the ability & desire to take the lead on the implementation.
- Project Management experience
- Positive attitude, ability to work independently, using your initiative and be solutions orientated.
