About the Role:

We're looking for a Pre-Sales Consultant to strengthen our client's sales team's efforts in carving out a significant space within the digital, data, and cloud technology landscapes, especially within the telecommunications and financial services sectors. This role offers the chance to be part of a growing company with a solid client foundation plus owners renowned for their successful entrepreneurial ventures. You'll have the opportunity not just to facilitate prospects but to actively shape the pitch and approach in a burgeoning and important area of tech.

Responsibilities:

  • Gather and analyse customer business needs and existing systems through detailed consultations. Identify custom solution needs by conducting a thorough analysis. Facilitate workshops to collect requirements from key stakeholders effectively.
  • Conduct customised demonstrations of the proposed solutions, highlighting features that match customer needs. Clearly explain technical aspects and integration points during the demos. Adapt presentations in response to audience feedback and queries.
  • Work closely with engineering teams to create technical specifications for solutions that meet customer requirements. Design scalable solutions and translate business needs into technical requirements. Produce system architecture diagrams to enhance sales proposals.
  • Tailor proposals to meet the specific demands and address pain points of prospective clients. Develop cost estimates and pricing strategies that complement the customised proposals.
  • Offer technical expertise in sales meetings and client interactions, supporting the sales team with up-to-date documentation on technical offerings. Liaise with technical teams to communicate client and prospect feedback effectively.

Requirements and skills:

  • High-performing pre-sales or sales engineering in technology solutions or services background at a Senior level.
  • Experience in developing custom solutions in digital, data, or cloud environments (Microsoft, Azure, AWS, Databricks, Snowflake or other technologies).
  • Knowledge in explaining technical integration points to non-technical audiences.
  • Capability to produce technical specifications and system architecture diagrams.
  • Experience developing cost estimates and pricing strategies for IT solutions.
  • Successful history of developing and maintaining relationships with clients in telecommunications or financial services.
  • Record of achieving and exceeding pre-sales performance targets.
  • Experience in crafting compelling proposal content that has won large-scale projects.
  • Right to work in Ireland or the United Kingdom without sponsorship.
