About the Role
A Respiratory Territory Manager at Fisher and Paykel means being a trusted clinical advisor, building relationships, and changing clinical practice. Our current opportunity involves working with clinicians throughout the patient pathway, including emergency departments, respiratory wards, and ICUs within both adult and infant environments to improve patient outcomes across Ireland. You will have 3 to 5 years of experience in either a medical sales role where you can navigate the HSE purchasing process and have a proven track record, or experience in a clinical role with a background in acute care. Your patch will be the Republic of Ireland with key hospitals in the Munster region, with the flexibility to travel further to build the region being ideal. What the Role Involves
- Manage, maintain, and grow the assigned territory. Regularly meet with clients to build awareness of their region, understand their needs, observe competitor activity, and deliver planned training sessions with healthcare professionals. Participate in regular monthly Business Reviews.
- Meet/exceed sales/KPI targets. Regularly analyze, track, and report on territory, monitoring sales KPIs, using CRM (Salesforce) and Power BI data. Identify business growth areas, align sales strategies, and tactical plans to develop long-term strategic partnerships.
- Build relationships with clinicians, Key Opinion Leaders, and healthcare professionals. Network at trade shows and conferences to leverage their support to gain new advocates.
- Develop and maintain supportive, productive, and effective relationships at all levels within the organization.
- Continuous professional development to keep up to date with developments in the HSE, healthcare services products, and research. Keep up to date with clinical data to interpret, present, and discuss this data with healthcare professionals during presentations.
Key Competencies for Success
- A track record of success selling a technical or clinical device into ICU and wards alongside an understanding of purchasing routes with procurement.
- At least 3 years of sales or complementary experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience in the medical or healthcare industry.
- Or 3 years within a clinical role where education and patient care is key, with experience as a Physiotherapist, Practice Development Nurse, or Education Lead within a hospital.
- A high level of selling, commercial acumen, and negotiating skills.
- Understanding of the procurement process.
- Adept at using Salesforce or similar CRM tool and data.
- In-depth knowledge of sales strategy, product demonstration, and sales reports.
- Excellent verbal communication and presentation skills.
- Strong networking skills to build relationships with prospective and existing clients.
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good IT and administration skills.
