Job Description

As Senior Employee & Labour Relations Manager, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and maintaining positive labour relations across the company. You will focus on fostering governance, enhancing capabilities, and streamlining processes to ensure compliance and promote harmonious working relationships. This will include defining strategy and providing advice and guidance on works council/union/other labour relations matters; including establishing, maintaining & developing constructive partnerships with employee representatives. Your expertise and stakeholder engagement will be critical in driving the success of our labour relations initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement strategic plans for labour relations across the EMEA region and other regions as needed, aligning with the company's overall objectives.
  • Continuously evaluate and refine labour relations strategies to adapt to changing regulatory environments, country priorities, industry trends, and business needs.
  • Collaborate with various teams to streamline labour relations processes and workflows, improving efficiency and effectiveness by leveraging technology, outsourcing, and automation where appropriate.
  • Monitor key performance indicators and metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of labour relations processes and identify areas for improvement.
  • Establish and maintain robust governance frameworks to ensure compliance with collective labour laws, regulations, and company policies across all EMEA countries of operation.
  • Develop and deploy training programs to enhance capabilities in areas such as negotiation, conflict resolution, and application of collective labour law.
  • Foster a culture of continuous learning and development, providing opportunities for team members to expand their knowledge and expertise in labour relations.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with internal stakeholders, including senior leadership, HR business partners, people partners legal counsel, and operational teams, to ensure alignment and support for labour relations initiatives.
  • Identify opportunities and provide ongoing coaching to EMEA and Global leadership on labour relations requirements, ways to enhance social dialogue and driving adoption and due process.
  • Build and maintain a strong external network including peer organizations and industry specialists.
Qualifications
  • Experience in leveraging or critically thinking about how to integrate AI into work processes, decision-making, or problem-solving. This may include using AI-powered tools, automating workflows, analyzing AI-driven insights, or exploring AI's potential impact on the function or industry. 
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Labor Relations, Business Administration, Law, or a related field or equivalent experience
  • Extensive experience in labour relations, with a proven track record of success in a leadership role
  • In-depth knowledge of collective labour laws, regulations (including in relation to works councils), and practices across the EMEA region
  • Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse team of professionals
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills, with the ability to effectively engage with stakeholders at all levels
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to develop and execute complex labour relations strategies in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Proven ability to drive change and influence stakeholders to achieve desired outcomes
