Job Purpose: The primary objective of this role is to nurture and expand key accounts, ensuring retailers have access to the full range of products. Reporting to the National Sales Manager, this newly created position involves joining a team of two other Area Sales Managers for the Greater Leinster area, with responsibilities including sales growth, support, and management.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Maximise and grow sales and market share through sales and merchandising.
  • Identify and realise key opportunities to achieve new and incremental sales.
  • Adhere to a defined call list while remaining flexible to attend customer events, training, etc. as required.
  • Build strong customer relationships.
  • Feedback customer and competitor activity to the National Sales Manager.
  • Resolve customer complaints by investigating problems and putting forward appropriate solutions.
  • Work to revenue targets and KPI's as set by the Sales Manager.
  • Coordinate sales efforts with the relevant marketing campaigns.
  • Liaise/communicate proactively and responsively both internally and externally to ensure deadline and an efficient service is maintained.
  • Attend relevant industry events and conferences to build business.

Ideal Candidate

We're seeking candidates with 3+ years of experience as a Field Sales Representative/Area Sales Manager in Hardware, Construction, or a related field. The ideal candidate will excel in networking, enjoying interactions with both new and existing customers to cultivate and sustain relationships, ultimately driving orders and brand promotion. You'll be proactive in seeking out new sales opportunities, backed by a track record of success in this area. A keen interest in the Hardware Industry and up-to-date knowledge of its trends, challenges, and opportunities are essential. You'll thrive in a dynamic and innovative business environment, eager to contribute to its ongoing success.

  • 3+ years' experience as an Area Sales Manager in a similar industry
  • Proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets
  • Experience of gaining new customer accounts and increasing sales with existing accounts
  • Natural sales mentality with a talent for spotting opportunities
