The Opportunity:

Avantor is currently looking for a motivated Internal Technical Sales Specialist – Equipment & Instruments (f/m/d) to join our team in Dublin, Ireland. In this role, you will be the driving force behind delivering excellent customer service and internal account management to our key customers

This is a full-time, maternity cover length position for 6 months. Next to an attractive salary and regulated working hours, we offer a performance-based bonus plan, 25 days holiday and a company pension scheme. Interested? - Let ' s talk

Working hours: Monday-Friday, hybrid working model

The team

Together with your seven colleagues, you are part of the Internal Technical Sales Team, helping our customers receive best-in-class service in identifying and providing the best products for their scientific needs.

What we're looking for

  • Education : Completed Leaving Certificate with a curiosity for Science
  • Experience: Experience in a Customer Relationship role, displaying excellent customer focus
  • Preferred Qualifications:
  • The desire to provide consistently high levels of customer service, feeling comfortable with autonomously handling complex queries and questions
  • Demonstrable experience building strong relationships with key customer contacts & key internal stakeholders
  • Ability to work to tight deadlines in line with KPI's
  • IT Literate, example with MS Office applications
  • Previous SAP knowledge highly desirable
  • Prior experience within the Life Sciences industry a distinct advantage (but not essential)
  • Excellent time management & telephone etiquette capabilities
  • Highly professional written and verbal communication skills
  • Proactive – can work with minimal supervision
  • Comfortable with a fast paced and dynamic working environment
  • A proven team player

How you will thrive and create an impact

  • Provide technical product support to customers and colleagues within the Equipment & Instruments product range
  • Proactive selling of the product ranges including cross selling other products and services
  • Create, negotiate and follow up quotations
  • Source new products and manage the market source
  • Establish relationships with suppliers to ensure the best technical and price support
  • Participate in supplier trainings and meetings
  • Support the sales teams with marketing campaigns
  • Monitor competitors and market trends within your product portfolio and build market intelligence
  • Regular communication with the local sales organisation, highlighting the performance of the product portfolio
  • Participate in customer visits, exhibitions, events and other marketing activities if and when required
  • Develop sales forecasts for your portfolio of products
  • Update all relevant customer interactions on our CRM system SAP C4C
