Our client is seeking an experienced VP, ETF Operations to lead and oversee the end-to-end operational activities for our Exchange-Traded Fund (ETF) platform.
This role is responsible for ensuring the efficient, accurate, and regulatory-compliant execution of ETF operations, including creation/redemption processes, NAV oversight, settlements, AP relationships, fund accounting, and operational risk management.
The successful candidate will play a critical role in driving operational excellence, partnering with internal and external stakeholders, and supporting product development initiatives to scale the ETF business.
The role: Lead the day-to-day operations of all ETF products, including oversight of creation/redemption processes, NAV validation, cash flows, and trade settlement.
Execute the operational strategy for the ETF platform to support scalability, automation, and market competitiveness.
Manage relationships with APs, market makers, custodians, and other service providers to ensure timely and accurate order processing.
Ensure robust operational controls, compliance with regulatory requirements, and readiness for internal and external audits.
Drive efficiency through automation, workflow redesign, and technology enablement; lead projects to streamline operations and improve client experience.
Partner with portfolio management, capital markets, legal, compliance, risk, technology, and distribution teams to support the full ETF lifecycle.
Provide operational expertise and support for the launch of new ETFs, from design through implementation.
Proactively identify, assess, and mitigate operational risks related to ETF activities.
Manage and mentor a team of ETF operations professionals, fostering a high-performance and collaborative culture.
The candidate: Bachelors degree in finance, Economics, Business, or related field.
10+ years of experience in financial operations with at least 5 years focused on ETF or fund operations.
Deep knowledge of ETF structure, mechanics, and operational processes across various asset classes.
Proven track record of managing teams and complex operational functions in a fast-paced, regulated environment.
Familiarity with ETF operational systems (e.g., order management, fund accounting, custody platforms); strong understanding of technology and data flows.
Strong problem-solving and decision-making capabilities; ability to synthesize complex data and communicate clearly.
Experience leading cross-functional initiatives and system implementations.
Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills; ability to engage with senior stakeholders and external partners.
