Business Operations Manager at The Panel

We're looking for a strategic Senior Director of Purchasing and Contracts to shape and lead our global procurement vision — driving value and strengthening supplier partnerships.

This is more than a procurement role. As Senior Director of Purchasing and Contracts, you'll be at the heart of business strategy — delivering innovation and efficiency across our sourcing and purchasing operations.

Responsibilities include:

  • Build strong supplier ecosystems: Identify, evaluate, and manage relationships with suppliers to ensure quality, reliability, and value.
  • Negotiate game-changing deals: Secure the best commercial terms while safeguarding against risk and ensuring compliance.
  • Optimise and innovate: Drive cost savings, streamline processes, and harness data-driven insights to continually raise performance.
  • Safeguard operations: Anticipate and mitigate supply chain risks with robust contingency plans.
  • Collaborate across the business: Partner with finance, operations, legal, and more to deliver procurement strategies that power organisational success.

Requirements include:

  • Proven track record as a senior procurement leader — ideally at C-suite or executive level.
  • Deep expertise in strategic sourcing, supplier management, and contract negotiations.
  • Experience delivering cost optimisation while maintaining quality and service excellence.
  • Strong commercial acumen and an ability to navigate complex supplier ecosystems.
  • A passion for digital transformation and the adoption of new procurement technologies.
