Position: Maintenance Assistant (Full Time Permanent)

Location: Tulfarris Hotel & Golf Resort, Blessington, Co. Wicklow

About the Hotel

Tulfarris Hotel & Golf Resort are looking for a Full Time Maintenance Assistant to join our wonderful team in maintaining our 4 * Hotel & Golf Resort.

More than just a hotel. Tulfarris is one of the most picturesque hotels in Wicklow. The course stands beside the shores of Blessington Lakes and was created by Patrick J. Merrigan across three peninsulas surrounded by breath-taking views where ponds and wild grasses blend into the exciting design against sweeping panoramic views. Our luxurious hotel consists of 90 guest rooms and 3 self-catering lodges with their own unique story and style which provide the perfect setting for weddings and all sorts of special events. The Brasserie and The Fairways Restaurant serve an array of delicious food in a relaxing environment which boasts panoramic views across our golf course, the Blessington Lakes and Wicklow Mountains. Located just 45 minutes from Dublin City and 25 minutes from the M50, the hotel is easily accessible.

Your New Role

The successful candidate will be professional, enthusiastic and trustworthy. You will demonstrate excellent team leading abilities as well as the initiative required to multi-task in this busy environment.

Duties will include:

  • Providing General Maintenance within the hotel and its ground
  • To notify the Property Manager should a maintenance problem require further attention
  • Ensure that a safe and secure environment for customers, staff and visitors is maintained
  • Ensuring that all customer queries and complaints are dealt with in a professional and efficient manner
  • Ensuring the public area and car park is clean & tidy
  • Weekend work is required
The ideal candidate will have
  • At least 1 years' previous experience in a hotel's maintenance department
  • Possess a Trade relevant to the Maintenance role required
  • Previous experience of working in a standards-driven environment
  • Basic MS Office skills to include Word and Excel
  • A creative and solutions-focused approach when problem-solving
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills. The ability to use business English verbally and through email correspondence is essential
  • Skill in the use of related tools (including hand & electrical tools) is beneficial

All applicants must have permission to work in Ireland and hold a valid work permit.
