The projectThe role is within the chief infrastructure office of a semi-state organisation in Ireland. The role holder will prepare and issue strategic projects to new and existing customers connecting directly to the transmission system and to the distribution system operator for those connecting indirectly to the transmission system via the distribution system. Key to success in this role is collaboration, working with industry and teams across client to drive out appropriate solutions to a range of complex technical and commercial issues. Building and maintaining strong professional relationships both externally and internally, as well as having the people skills to influence others and to find workable solutions, is key to success. The commissioning manager will play a key role in the network delivery team, forming part of the core team and will report to the programme controls lead. The commissioning manager must possess demonstrable experience in undertaking similar role(s) on high-value and complex programmes, preferably in the transmission and energy generation sectors. It is expected that the candidate will be educated to degree level in a engineering, or construction industry discipline. Strong analytical & IT skills, particularly MS Office Suite, including Power BI is desirable. High Voltage Commissioning Manager required to join on HV Commissioning projects in Dublin & across Leinster.

- You will manage delivery from project inception/brief, through design development and planning, contractor procurement and construction phase in accordance with the overall delivery program and agreed project milestones.
- You will manage tasks and associated deliverables in support of the Associate Director and other senior leaders, alongside the wider project and client teams, to ensure the timely and accurate delivery of the project.
- Engage with internal stakeholders and the commissioning team to execute projects in target areas.
- Perform SAP (Senior Authorised Person) duties, including HV switching and isolations on live networks.
- Identify and coordinate training needs for team members, potentially including in-house training delivery.
- Support on-site commissioning efforts in the execution of projects in the later stages of delivery up to commissioning.
- Manage project milestones, deadlines, and overall programme.
- Plan and coordinate vendor FAT/SAT, with possible on-site attendance as needed.
- Participate in and contribute to daily/weekly project meetings with internal teams, vendors, and clients.
- Oversee the delivery, review, and approval of key project documents, including Test Protocols and Compliance statements.

You will need to have:
- 10+ years of industry experience in a similar role.
- High Voltage commissioning experience is essential.
- Proficiency in MS Office and MS Project.
- A valid, clean driving licence.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Goal-oriented with strong people skills.
