Our client, a global provider of machinery automation solutions, are seeking to recruit a Strategic Accounts Manager to join their growing team. The role is to establish and develop strong relationships with key clients and industry leaders, recognize opportunities for growth in the business and work in close cooperation with colleagues in both internal and external roles to deliver customer satisfaction and achieve company targets. Role: Become a focal point of the company in Ireland for development of business relationships within the chosen industry sector being the front-end representative with industry clients and specifiers alike. Become the focal point of contact for colleagues in headquarters and other subsidiaries on all common application/project issues of interest. Be an industry focal point and contact for all field-based sales staff by helping support projects and enable maximisation of client satisfaction through their suppliers. Help to identify opportunities for increased product penetration through identification of upselling and cross selling opportunities from existing and new clients alike. Collaborate with internal teams across commercial, design and technical support as required ensuring client issues are responded to in an effective and timely manner directly or to local suppliers on their behalf. An understanding of the Datacentre industry sector and ability to comprehend the clients business objectives and markets needs, challengers and trends - developing strategies to successfully solve problems and deliver business growth from opportunities. The role will require that you become knowledgeable with both hardware and software products from various technologies across the product portfolio Electrical, Automation & Control and Networking and Communications. Regular and effective communication on client and industry issues and activities with the main office based in Dublin and colleagues in other subsidiaries as required. Achieve the targets set and contribute to the continued growth in market share of the brand in the target industry sector. Become active through attending relevant industry events to build relationships with existing clients and their suppliers alike while also looking to forge new relationships and seek opportunities. Be proactive and demonstrate initiative in achievement of overall company objectives. Being flexible to requests by management to undertake additional responsibilities as and when required. The role will require travel within Ireland and abroad in the future. Core Skills/Attributes: Excellent interpersonal communication skills including an ability to build trust with clients. Be commercially astute and possess good business acumen. Be capable of reacting swiftly and professionally to customer issues, demonstrating empathy and a creative problem-solving approach. Be a problem solver for the client providing solutions to solve challenges that they face a genuine interest in technology. Have a potential or demonstrated ability to influence at various levels in client organisations across multiple disciplines. Ability to manage a wide range of client accounts and maintain a high level of attention to detail. Excellent time management and personal organisational skills with ability to meet deadlines and mange projects effectively. Be capable of using intrinsic customer reporting tools including CRM and forecasting tools etc. A background in and knowledge of IT / Tech industry developments with Datacenter developments especially of interest. An Electrical or Electronic and / or business qualifications with knowledge of applications in power management, networking and/or automation desired. Work ethic & drive. Ability to work autonomously & in a team environment collaborating with different functional disciplines effectively. Good level of IT / Computer skills and used to MS Office products.
